A little about our boutique business
Susan Palmer purchased Horner Management from Doug Horner in November 1994 along with two silent partners, and began trading as Horner Management Pty Ltd. Susan had the vision of tailoring a 'professional and personalised service' to her clients. This is highlighted by the fact that the business still manages over 70% of the Corporations 23 years on. Horner Management also branched into the service of offering property management back in 2002 at the request of our clients. We offer a reduced property management fee for our current clients who wish to use this service.
In 2009, Susan took a step back from the company and is now enjoying her retirement. She spends her time giving back to the community, by donating and fundraising much needed funds to the Flinders Medical Centre. At this time, Carrie McInerney was appointed CEO and has also worked hard to grow Horner Management and continue Susan’s vision. Today, Horner Management looks after over 400 Corporations’ and with over 3,000 unit owners’ in South Australia.
Carrie has expanded the small boutique business into a team of eight professional and enthusiastic staff members dedicated to offering the original vision of tailoring a 'professional and personalised service' to their clients and treating each property as if it were their own. All our Body Corporate Managers are practicing members of the Strata Community Australia.
In 2016, Horner Management were awarded Strata Management Office of the Year at the SCA – SA Strata Community Awards.
